I'm not new to TISD. For nearly 20 years, I’ve been actively involved as a parent and volunteer, working closely with our schools and staying engaged in decisions and planning that shape our district.

I’ve worked alongside teachers, administrators, and families, and I’ve seen firsthand both the strengths of our schools and the challenges we must address. We have strong foundations in place, but we cannot ignore the areas where we must do better.

My familiarity with TISD, combined with my background in law, policy, and accountability, gives me the perspective to bring a disciplined, solutions-focused approach to the decisions ahead.

My passion and commitment to the district, our children, and our teachers is present every day!

Many people see my passion for the Texas Tigers and our students on full display on Friday nights in the fall. But my commitment to the district goes far beyond the “Tiger King” and “Tiger Billy” hype videos and the excitement under the Friday Night Lights at Grim Stadium.

When TISD calls, I answer. From my prior involvement with the Boys to Men Program, to Campus and District Quality Improvement Councils, to serving as President of the Texarkana ISD Education Foundation, you will find me continually looking for ways to serve our district.

I invest my time and energy into answering the call to make Texarkana ISD "the place to be!"
