My Commitment to the Community
Committed to advocacy, results, and transparency for Texarkana ISD students.
Advocacy
Effective advocacy begins with serving all students by ensuring every child has access to strong academic programs, safe environments, and a wide variety of opportunities that prepare them for life after graduation. When we prioritize students’ needs, we invest directly in the future of our community, but most importantly the child.
Our teachers and staff also deserve strong advocates. Schools cannot fulfill their mission without dedicated employees who pour into students and their respective jobs each day. Strengthening classroom outcomes starts with equipping our educators and employees with the resources, respect, and professional support they deserve.
Finally, true advocacy means representing the entire community. We can ensure decisions reflect shared values and the unique needs of our diverse district only when we listen to parents, taxpayers, educators, business leaders, and students from all areas of our community.
Results
We must ensure that every student is challenged, supported, and makes measurable progress each year. A strong foundation beginning at the elementary level and continuing through middle and high school builds confidence and positive results as students progress through the district.
Students and staff deserve safe schools, where they can focus on learning without fear or distraction. Secure and supportive schools foster respect, accountability, and the well-being necessary for both academic and personal success.
Whether students choose higher education, military service, trade school, or directly enter the workforce after high school, everu student must graduate equipped with the knowledge, skills, and character to succeed.
Transparency builds trust and strengthens our schools, and it begins with open communication. We must make sure families, staff, and community members are heard, informed, heard, and engaged in meaningful conversations about the decisions that impact our students.
Financial accountability to the taxpayers must managed responsibly and careful stewardship that reflects our commitment to maximizing resources for student and teacher success.
District leadership should be visible, approachable, and willing to listen. When community members and employees can easily access information and share their perspectives, we create a culture of trust, collaboration, and shared responsibility for the success of our schools.
